Cada año el pequeño municipio en el estado de Guanajuato llamado Romita, vuelca todas sus energías de  para celebrar a su Patrona: La Virgen de Guadalupe. Durante 9 dias del mes de diciembre la gente demuestra su devoción, agradeciendo los favores recibidos durante el año. La ciudad se divide en cuarteles o barrios y día a día los vecinos se organizan para realizar sus ofrendas. Desde temprana hora del día y hasta el atardecer se escucha el retumbar de la tambora, danzas, mariachis y toritos recorriendo las calles del cuartel anfitrión. El cúmulo de la celebración es la entrada al templo de una gran peregrinación en donde todos los grupos participantes y vecinos, llevan ofrendas a la Virgen. Por último antes de la medianoche se encienden los castillos  y  juegos pirotécnicos que marcan el final del cuartel, pero también el inicio del próximo.

Every year in a little town in Guanajuato State called Romita, have his celebration to the Virgin of Guadalupe. For 9 days of december, his habitants show his devotion thanking for favors received by the year. The city is divided in “cuarteles” or neighborhoods and day after day the neighborhoods are organized to make his gifts. From early hours until sunset, you can ear the music, dances, mariachis and “toritos” walking around the streets of hosted neighborhood. The most important moment of the day is when arrive to church a massive peregrination, where all participating groups and neighbors bring his gifts to Virgin. Lastly, before midnight the “castillos” and fireworks are fired, this shows the end of the “cuartel”, but the begining of the next.
